From Whence Did “ProfessorJT2012” Arise?

About four years ago my Lutheran Pastor challenged me to prove that there really was a rapture, and that the season of Christ’s return was approaching.  I took the challenge, spent several months studying scripture, then handed a ten page essay to him.  His reception to my essay was downright chilly, to say the least.  From there, it progressed into emails and letters to friends and family.  The family reception was almost as chilly as my pastor’s, but my friends and I began a series of meetings, phone calls, and emails.  Upon moving from Colorado to Nevada, these emails and essays became a series of classes entitled: “Understanding the Times: An Overview of End Times Teachings for Study and Discussion”.

The blog title reflects my beliefs and doctrines:
I am a Professor of Jesus, who Teaches that 2012 is not the end of the world.
Hence, ProfessorJT2012

What have you heard about December 21, 2012 and the “End of the World”?
Perhaps you’ve seen the November 2009 blockbuster “2012”, or watched the History Channel offering: “Doomsday 2012: The End Of Days”.  You may have even watched some of the older movies like the 1998 movie, “Armageddon” with Bruce Willis as Harry Stamper, Billy Bob Thornton as Dan Truman, Ben Affleck as A.J. Frost, and Liv Tyler as Grace Stamper,  A. J.’s fiancé. Or perhaps in 2004 you enjoyed  “The Day After Tomorrow” with Dennis Quaid as Jack Hall, Jake Gyllenhaal as Sam Hall, and Emmy Rossum as Laura Chapman!

Without a doubt, you have questions about the future and want some solid answers.
This blog tries to answer some of those questions, and also allows my continued studies to be quickly distributed to all who are still interested in the year 2012, the Rapture, and the Season of Christ’s Return.  Again, I try to blog about once every two weeks, or more often if the Spirit places items on my heart that need immediate posting.

I am, indeed, a Professor of Jesus, who Teaches that 2012 is not the end of the world.  But it may be, however, a turning point in history. One can only ask: “How imminent is the return of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach?

God Bless,
