Psalm 83 Update
Psalm 83: 2-4 – “Your enemies are making noises; those who hate you are getting ready to attack. They are making secret plans against your people; they plot against those you love. They say, “Come, let’s destroy them as a nation.”
Matthew 24:6 – “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”
Zechariah 12:2-3 – “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
Wars and rumors of wars run rampant throughout the Middle East. The threats and pressures against Israel continue to mount. The war drums continue to beat louder and louder:
• Russia, the United States, France, and Great Britain are all positioning ships the region.
• Russia has declared that an attack against Tehran is the same as an attack against Moscow.
• The Iranians continue to threaten to close the Straits of Hormuz.
• Iran believes the return of Imam Mahdi, or the Twelfth (Hidden) Imam, is imminent.
• The Arab Spring is rapidly turning into the Arab Winter – democracy is giving way to the Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia Law.
• The blatant anti-Semitism being proclaimed with slogans like One Nation For A New Holocaust at soccer games indicates an imminent move against Israel.
The stage is being set for one or more of the following prophesied actions to take place:
• Isaiah 17 – The overnight destruction of Damascus.
• Psalm 83 – The attempted destruction of Israel by the Arab confederates.
• Jeremiah 49 – The destruction of Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Hazor, and Elam.
• Ezekiel 29 – The 40 year desolation of Egypt.
• Ezekiel 38-39 – The war of Gog/Magog against Israel.
We may, in fact, see these prophecies fulfilled in rapid succession, one after another. No wonder Jesus warned that the last days would be one of wars and rumors of wars!
